Medical Auditing BootCamp: CPMA


The NAMAS  LIVE online Medical Auditing BootCamp® training program will prepare you to actively work and perform as a medical auditor.  NAMAS’ goal is to not only help train you to obtain any of the national auditing certification degrees, but to help ensure that when you leave the classroom you have a keen understanding of auditing and how to operate day-to-day as a trained medical auditor.

Already an auditor? Need to sharpen your skills and earn CEUs?The Medical Auditing BootCamp® has prior approval for 16 CEUs upon successful completion of the class. Not quite ready for ALL things auditing? Consider starting with E/M first, and begin with the E/M BootCamp.

At the NAMAS Medical Auditing BootCamp®, you will learn:

  • E&M, Surgical, Medical, and Ancillary Service Auditing

  • Why we audit and the compliance of it all

  • How to communicate results and educate providers.

  • Valuable skills in auditing abstraction.

  • Scope and statistical methodologies.

  • Instruction on RAC, CERT, MIC and ZPIC audits.

  • Additionally, you will leave prepared to sit for certification exam to become a certified auditor.

Course Requirements:

Prior to registering for this course, it is recommended that you are either a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or have at least 2 years of coding experience.

Class registration fee includes:

  • NAMAS Medical Auditing BootCamp® Curriculum Manual

  • E&M Audit tool

  • Pocket reference cards

  • One year's membership to NAMAS (for new registrations only; registrations from current NAMAS members will receive a discounted rate on membership renewals)

Materials will be provided to you electronically, unless you select to have them printed and shipped to the address provided on your order. A fee of $35 applies for printed materials

NOTE: Successful completion of the class also requires you to have the current year's CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS manuals which are NOT included in your class registration.

Why chose a live online format?

Because everyone needs a schedule to follow and creating our course with live courses and homework assignments and firm due dates promotes an environment to encourage students to maintain their path to medical auditing success!

We encourage each student to participate through webcam interaction with their instructor and virtual class mates! Each session requires a minimum number of participants to occur. In the event we do not meet our minimum attendance required, the course may be cancelled and you will be offered a seat in our next available course. Class registrations are transferable, but are not refundable.

Attendees will receive a certificate of completion along with a CEU certificate for the earned credits upon completing the full online training program. Certification exam process is NOT required, but those interested should seek testing in your local area chapter offerings. Each course has a required minimum attendance of 5 registrations; in the event your selected course does not reach the minimum number of registered attendees, you may be asked to reschedule.

FAQs:

  • The curriculum manual will be made available to you no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the course

  • Late sign-ups may be subject to a late fee due to processing and coordination.

  • Class registration fees are transferable, but we apologize that they are not refundable.

  • Any course fees transferred, credited, gifted, exchanged, or won must be used within 12 months of the date of receipt or they will be void.

  • If bootcamp fees are transferred across calendar years, new materials will only be provided if the transfer occurred due to NAMAS scheduling. Otherwise, the attendee is responsible for acquiring new annual materials.

  • Events are often recorded for quality assurance purposes, however, the recordings of any training event are not part of the registration fee or part of the included tools and resources provided with the bootcamp registration.

  • NAMAS has a required minimum registration for each bootcamp event. In the event your selected course does not reach the minimum number of registered attendees, you will be provided with the option to transfer to another date or another bootcamp event.
