Membership Cancellation Policy

Refunds for membership fees will be provided based on the following conditions:

  • Monthly membership: Cancellation requests received before the next billing cycle will not be charged for the upcoming month. No refund will be provided for the current month.

  • Annual membership: Cancellation requests received within 30 days of membership activation will be eligible for a refund of the annual fee minus any non-refundable setup or administrative fees. After 30 days, no refunds will be provided.

Access to membership benefits and resources will cease immediately upon cancellation. Stirling Global Solutions reserves the right to issue refunds in exception to this policy from time to time, at our discretion. Exercise of this right does not constitute a change in our stated policy and does not obligate us to issue similar refunds except as required by the terms of use.

Webinar Cancellation Policy:

  • Participant Cancellation: If a participant wishes to cancel their registration for a webinar, they must notify the webinar organizer in writing via email or through the designated cancellation process on the webinar platform. The following cancellation policy will apply:

    • Cancellation 7 days or more before the webinar date: Participants will receive a full refund of the registration fee.

    • Cancellation between 2 and 7 days before the webinar date: Participants will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee.

    • Cancellation less than 2 days before the webinar date: Participants will not be eligible for a refund.

  • Webinar Organizer Cancellation: In the event that the webinar organizer needs to cancel or reschedule a webinar, registered participants will be promptly notified via email or through the webinar platform. Alternative options, such as rescheduling or transferring the registration to a future webinar, will be provided. If none of the alternative options are suitable, participants will receive a full refund of the registration fee.

The course provided by SGS is designed solely for examination preparation and does not qualify for collegiate credit, degrees, or fulfillment of employer-specific training requirements. Participants should be aware that completing this course does not confer formal academic recognition or accreditation. It is the responsibility of participants to verify the acceptance of this course by relevant institutions or employers for their individual purposes.

All materials for our courses are shipped directly from AAPC. 

Below are AAPCs Shipping Policies

  • Shipping Rates

    • AAPC shipping charges are based on standard FedEx or US Postal Service mail rates (where applicable), which are based on package weight, size, and distance shipped. AAPC offers UPS Ground to all SGS customers who place orders to be shipped to one of the 48 contiguous United States.

  • Hawaii and Alaska Shipments

    • Orders to be shipped outside the 48 contiguous United States (i.e. Alaska and Hawaii) are sent by UPS Ground.

  • Shipping Time

    • Items in stock are shipped within 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. Barring exceptions, these orders ship out Monday through Friday at 4:00 p.m. MDT.

  • UPS Transit Time

    • UPS estimates transit time by business days; one day transit time is 24 hours from the time of the shipment (excluding Saturdays and Sundays). Since UPS does not ship on Saturdays or Sundays, the actual delivery date may be different than the estimated transit time. For example: A Next Day Air order leaving the distributor’s warehouse on a Friday for New York will not arrive until Monday, even though it has a one-day transit time.

  • PO Boxes and APO Addresses

    • SGS does not ship to PO boxes or APO addresses, so please provide a physical address for UPS shipping.

Out-of-Stock Items

Due to availability and vendor timeframes, SGS can provide only an estimate and cannot guarantee when out-of-stock items will be available. With certain exceptions, products purchased from SGS may be returned for a refund. Products must be submitted for a return within 30 days from the purchase or shipment date to be eligible for a refund. They must also be unopened and in re-sellable condition. Returned products are subject to a $15 restocking fee per item. Shipping charges are non-refundable. Refund requests may be submitted in writing to SGS.

Product-Specific Return Policies

Refunds will not be issued for AAPC Membership, textbooks, or exams. Due to immediate electronic access, refunds or extensions will not be issued for Online Practice Exams and Online Areas of Study.

Distance Learning online courses can be canceled for a full refund within three days after purchase, as long as the student has not accessed the online course and the course materials and books are returned to SGS unopened and in good condition. Course cancellations made after three business days will incur a $100 cancellation fee per course and any payments for course materials/books that are not returned to SGS or are returned opened or used. Refunds will not be provided for any courses accessed, viewed, or partially completed, and no refunds will be issued after 30 days from the purchase date. Course refund claims must be submitted in writing to SGS for examination and approval. Refunds will not be provided for course extensions. Distance Learning courses are intended for individual use and cannot be transferred. Refund requests must be filed in writing to SGS for approval.

Refund Policy

Once your return is approved, we will promptly initiate a refund to your original payment method. Please be aware that processing times may vary depending on your payment provider. Refunds will be limited to the value of the product or service purchased, excluding any non-refundable charges such as shipping, handling, or transaction fees, which remain the customer’s responsibility. For any cases not specifically outlined within this policy, requests will be reviewed on an individual basis to ensure a fair and appropriate resolution.

Conference Cancellation Policy

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, requiring a participant to cancel their conference registration. In the event of a cancellation, the following policy will apply:

  1. Cancellations Made 30 Days or More Before the Final payment, November 17th:

    • If you cancel 30 days or more prior to the final payment deadline (November 17th), a $150 cancellation fee will apply. The remaining balance of your registration fee will be refunded to the original payment method within 10-14 business days.

  2. Cancellations Made Less Than 30 Days Before the Event:

    • Cancellations made after November 17th will not be eligible for a refund. However, participants may transfer their registration to another individual or defer it to the following year at no additional cost. All transfer or deferral requests must be submitted at least 1 month prior to the conference.
